Causes and Triggers of Urinary Infection:
UTI is commonly caused when tiny particles of feces get into the urinary tract.
In women it occurs due to improper washing or wiping after using the bathroom or sex. The infection of the urethra occurs by sexual transmission, genetically inherited shape of the urinary tract, diabetes, hormonal changes, kidney stones, or spinal cord injury. Poor hygiene, strictures, and holding back urine despite urge can also lead to UTI.
In men, UTI is more common at an older age due to diabetes and enlarged prostate.
