About Homeopathy

History of Homeopathy?

Homeopathy was discovered in the 18th Century by Samuel Hahnemann, a German Physician who was very unhappy with the methods of therapy available in his time. He was in search for an alternate therapy which would be gentle, reduce pain & have no side effects. He discovered that diluting the medicines reduces side effects significantly & with higher dilutions the side effects are almost nil. His method was based on the principle of “like cures like” and started treating people effectively with these potentized dilutions. Overtime this method started to gain popularity across many countries and has become a popular alternative method for treatment.

Why Homeopathy?

Safe - Homeopathy is an Alternate therapy which is considered to be safe as it is extremely diluted, it has no side effects & does not interfere with conventional or herbal medications.

Gentle - In over 200 years there are no clinically recorded side effects, which could damage the liver, kidneys and/or other organs.

Natural - Completely naturally derived from extracts of plants, flowers, minerals & animals.

Targets the Root Cause - Looks at eliminating the ailment from its root cause rather than treating only the symptoms.

Compliance - Homeopathy medicines comply to high standards & specifications of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS).

What is Homeopathy & how is it Holistic in its approach?

In homeopathy it is believed that at first something goes wrong with the individual's life force/energy, which poorly impact your overall resistance to infection or disease. Hence, homeopathy takes into consideration your individual manifestations of your Mind, Body & Soul. Once this is accurately established for each individual, picking the right medication and strength becomes clear for the homeopath.

Homeopathic dilutions are made from extracts of various natural sources of plants, minerals, animals (no animals are harmed in the process). These extracts are then used in a highly diluted form after treating and energizing it, this process is called potentization or dynamization. This is based on principles similar to what is now recognized or known as Nano technology.

Limitations of Homeopathy?

Homeopathy too, like any other therapy has its limitations & drawbacks which one needs to be aware of.  It does not serve in emergency conditions which are purely mechanical & need surgical intervention. Some examples include but are not limited to suppurated appendicitis, gall stone obstruction, heart attack, status asthamaticus. In any or all such cases you must immediately contact emergency services.

Research is continuous in homeopathy & is carried out per prevailing world standards by statutory organizations. Some of these research findings can be found on official websites of HPUS, HRI(UK) & CCRH(India) etc.

Important Notice

We firmly recommend against any self-medication because the Homeopathy medicines have to be used with care in conditions such as pregnancy or post-surgery due to suture material used, etc. These intricacies and details are only understood by trained professionals.
